British Citizenship Interview Questions

In order to stay in Britain and to get the permanent citizenship it is necessary that one passes “Life in the United Kingdom Test (settlement or ILR, Indefinite Leave to remain). It is an exam set by selected testing centers which focus on British society and culture, and the history of the United Kingdom. Thus prior to attending the citizenship interview one has to do lot of practice. Firstly one needs to complete the application process along with submitting the documents like a legal residency card, state identification card, such as a driver’s license, all expired or current passports, and proof of marital status.

Sample British Citizenship Interview Questions

  • What is your complete name?
  • What is the full name of your Mother and father?
  • What is your date of birth and which is the place where you were born?
  • What is your permanent address?
  • Are you married? When did you get married?
  • How many children do you have?  Can you present your marriage pictures?
  • Have you presented all the documents like passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, employer’s letter pay slip for last six months, identification proof and driving license etc?
  • Are you well acquainted with British English?
  • Do you know Britain consists of how many countries?
  • What is the total population of the Britain as per the 2010 census?
  • Who is the PM of Britain and what are his role and responsibility?
  • Describe the mode on which British education system works
  • Describe the mode on which British education system works, and what options are available when a child reaches 16?
